Beginning as a cabaret and burlesque festival in Byron Bay's beautiful vintage neighbour, Brunswick Heads, Guilty Pleasures was originally founded by Louise McCabe and Lucy Rhoades in 2017. The weekend event showcased an amazing array of artists from all around Australia.
In 2018, Guilty Pleasures rebranded to Guilty Pleasures Shows, presenting cabaret, comedy and theatre.
Guilty Pleasure's dark cabaret The Secret Parlour was a sell-out success, while our cabaret piece Who Killed Lulu Delacour? was finalist in Queensland's Short and Sweet Festival.
Now based in Adelaide, Guilty Pleasures Shows premiered the long version of our rock'n'roll comedy The Runner Up by Louise McCabe at The Adelaide Fringe in 2019. The show had a great response from audience and critics alike. You can see The Runner Up in 2020 at The Parks Theatre, Angle Park as part of Fringe in the Port.
