Described as a 'cabaret veteran' and 'drag queen trapped in a woman's body', performer, writer and producer Louise McCabe has wowed audiences from high-flyers in corporate venues to the paralytic in seedy Kings Cross bars with her unique character-based, cabaret-style theatre.
Louise trained at Theatre Nepean and worked in mainstream theatre, before beginning her cabaret career with corporate entertainment company Absolutely Not! in 2003. Her one woman show Conversations with Goddesses has appeared at the Adelaide Fringe, Byron Bay Centre, Sydney's iconic Vanguard and Brisbane's Anywhere Festival.
In 2017, Louise was the co-director of Guilty Pleasures Cabaret and Burlesque Festival, which showcased a range of exciting range of acts held at the Brunswick Heads Memorial Hall, and included the participation of the renowned Brunswick Picture House.
In the same year, Louise also won the audience pick in the Hot Shorts Competition for her play
The Runner Up.
